kotera 小寺

A meditation on structure and grounding, Kotera 小寺 draws its name and spirit from the intimate stillness of a small temple. Its base is crafted from interlocking Scots pine plywood. This lattice is stained with a custom blend of wood stain infused with charcoal made from sticks of our garden vineyard. Above, a pale slab of travertine rests, not affixed but balanced with quiet monumentality.
